TRB has been closely monitoring the evolving situation related to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak. The health and safety of our volunteers, sponsors, meeting guests, staff, and the greater community are of utmost importance to us. In light of the current situation, we regret that the Symposium on Transportation, Environment, and Energy cannot be held as scheduled.

Any decision regarding whether to re-schedule the event or to hold it in some other format, will be made at a later date.
 
All registration fees that have been collected will be refunded to the original method of payment.

Once every ten years for the last two decades the committees within the TRB Environment and Energy Section have hosted a joint summer meeting to allow greater collaboration among each committee’s members and friends on the topics of interest to them. This will be the third decadal meeting of the section committees who will explore transportation issues related to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), air quality, ecology, noise, resource conservation and recovery, energy and alternative fuels and technologies.

Interested in presenting at the Symposium?  Please review our Call for Presentations Guidelines and submit an abstract by April 15, 2020.  More than one abstract can be submitted if you would like to present on more than one topic. Instructions for submitting your abstract are detailed at the top of the Call for Presentations page.  A more detailed agenda will be posted once presentations are selected.
