SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
A.J. Schutzman is the Senior Planner for the Wyoming Department of Transportation Aeronautics Division. He serves as the project manager for statewide system planning projects and master plan, land acquisition, and environmental assessment projects at Wyoming's 40 publicly owned, public use airports. In this role he also administers the annual update of the Wyoming Aviation Capital Improvement Program working with stakeholders, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Wyoming Aeronautics Commission to establish the five year funding program. Schutzman is a Wyoming native and holds a bachelor's degree in Aviation Management from Rocky Mountain College. While attending Rocky he earned his fixed wing Private Pilot Certificate and later attended Army flight school adding a rotorcraft Commercial Instrument Certificate. He joined the Aeronautics Division in 2016 and also serves in the Wyoming Army National Guard as an Aeromedical Evacuation Pilot flying HH-60M Black Hawk helicopters.
