PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION
SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Clint Harper's 24-year career encompasses a wide range of experiences. With a strong foundation in aviation infrastructure planning, he has also ventured into transportation planning, economic development, the fire service, and emergency management. Clint seeks to integrate his aviation background with a broader understanding of transportation systems and economic dynamics to find innovative solutions that benefit communities.
Clint's airport and advanced air mobility integration efforts began at the University of Utah where he earned a Master's degree in City and Metropolitan Planning and a Graduate Certificate in Urban Design. During his studies, Clint explored aviation-centric urban form patterns, including John Kasarda's Aerotropolis and Max Hirsch's Airport Urbanism concepts. Clint sought to adapt these concepts to smaller general aviation airports to create jobs and other economic opportunities.
Clint brings a holistic perspective to his work to identify opportunities for synergy between aviation and other sectors. He has experience at the State level working with the State of Utah, and at the City level with the City of Los Angeles. Clint is now a Federal contractor with the NASA Ames Research Center where he brings a community integration perspective to the Air Traffic Management eXportation (ATM-X) program.
