SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Tim Leong is a Senior Maritime Projects Administrator with the Port of Oakland. He’s been at the Port of Oakland for over 23 years.
During his time at the Port, Tim has: • managed environmental remediation projects • developed CEQA clearance documents for projects • negotiated and administered Port leases • overseen both terminal and off-terminal redevelopment and modernization projects • managed/implemented both state and federal grant-funded Port infrastructure projects
In terms of Port electrification and emissions reduction efforts, Tim has: • been directly involved in the Port’s Shore Power Program • overseen and implemented both terminal of off-terminal EV charging projects • overseen drayage truck fleet modernization and cargo-handling equipment upgrades
Tim graduated from the University of California at Davis with a degree in Environmental Science, specializing in air pollution.
