Session Description
Topic: Resilient Recovery This panel will discuss the recommended approaches in NCHRP 15-61 for applying climate change information to hydrologic and coastal design (Kilgore et al., 2019), and how NCHRP 15-80 is building on that work by developing recommended red-line edits to select AASHTO and FHWA reference materials. Virginia DOT will discuss their updated standards for bridges and structures to include future changes in temperature, precipitation, and sea level rise (VDOT, 2020/2021) and efforts towards potential hydraulics, pavement, and geotechnical updates.
