Biography
Marta Pertierra has developed her carrier within the civil engineering and environmental consultancy field, where she has specialized in vulnerability assessments and resilient asset management of transportation infrastructures.

She received a double master’s degree in the field of civil engineering and in environmental science, both from the University Alfonso X in Madrid, Spain.
She has been actively involved in the development of risk assessment methodologies in order to reduce the vulnerability of infrastructure against natural hazards and climate change, working as a consultant in several projects financed by the World Bank around the globe. Additionally, she is working on the incorporation of machine learning and advanced analytics for predictive maintenance and improved asset management of transportation assets.
