Biography
Christopher Dorney is a senior transportation and land use planner who has been engaged in extreme weather and climate change adaptation planning for several years. Over this time, Mr. Dorney has been involved in a number of adaptation projects involving work at both the strategic network-wide scale and at the scale of individual facilities. Mr. Dorney has conducted many highly detailed system-wide climate vulnerability analyses for transportation agencies that drew heavily on his expertise in GIS. These analyses have allowed agencies to understand their vulnerabilities to climate change and extreme weather and to start prioritizing adaptive actions. Mr. Dorney has also been at the forefront of incorporating climate change adaptation into the project development process at individual facilities and has helped pioneer the development of climate risk-enhanced benefit-cost analyses.

Biography
Kristoffer Langlie is a District Water Resources Engineer in the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). He manages a team of individuals that design and maintain the hydraulic drainage system for MnDOT infrastructure in District 6 which covers the southeast portion of the state. In his day-to-day work, he (1) reviews development plans and calculations for entities modifying stormwater discharge to the Mn- DOT right-of-way, (2) coordinates responsibilities associated with the MnDOT Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) NPDES Permit for Rochester and LaCrescent, MN, and (3) develops best management practices to reduce pollution from pavement construction and management (i.e. sediment, salt, etc.).
