Biography
Mr. Jantzen is a water resources engineer with Jacobs’ People and Places Solutions line of business in Bellevue, Washington. He has more than 16 years of experience leading water resources planning and design projects for water and transportation clients across the United States and internationally. His work reaches across numerous water resources related topics including flood risk mapping and management, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, climate change adaptation, stream restoration, dam-break analysis, stormwater planning, roadway drainage design, and combined sewer system analysis. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Gonzaga University, and his Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Professional Engineer (Washington State) and Certified Floodplain Manager.

Biography
Mr. Rotar is a senior water resources engineer with RESPEC in Bozeman, Montana, where he manages the company’s northern Rockies operations. He has over 33 years of professional experience with focus areas in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and modeling, river and riparian restoration design, flood hazard assessment and floodplain management, roadway and urban drainage, fisheries management including fish passage and screening, and fish barriers; and wetland mitigation design. Mr. Rotar recently supported the Alaska Dept. of Transportation and Public Facilities’ update to their drainage manual as a contributing author to chapters addressing fluvial geomorphology and aquatic organism passage in context of climate resiliency. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in 14 states and 1 Canadian province, and a Certified Floodplain Manager.
