Biography
Sandy Hertz is the Director for the Office of Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation within the Maryland Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) Secretary’s Office. She has been with MDOT since 2004 and brings over 25 years of experience in environmental protection to this position. In her current role, she coordinates climate resilience and adaptation efforts across MDOT’s multi-modal transportation enterprise.
Biography
Jim Pappas received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware and Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Environmental Sustainability from Wilmington University.
Jim has worked for the Delaware Department of Transportation for over 31 years. The majority of his time was in pavement and materials engineering, then as Assistant Director of Performance Management, Deputy Director of Operations and Support, and now Director of Transportation Resilience & Sustainability.
