Biography
Dr. Amir Golalipour, P.E., is a Highway Research Engineer in the FHWA’s Office of Infrastructure Research and Development (R&D). In his current role, he is responsible for planning, conducting, managing, and reviewing research and development activities associated with infrastructure resilience and sustainability. As part of these activities, he collaborates with other FHWA offices and stakeholders to improve infrastructure resilience and safety. He has been involved in numerous research and implementation projects in the transportation community since 2010. In addition to his technical support for FHWA stakeholders, Amir is a regular contributor as a member to various technical meetings such as the Transportation Research Board (TRB), Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), etc. He received his Master's and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
