Biography
Jamie brings 17 years of experience of strategic advising to clients, working with the public and private sectors across a variety of technical disciplines including planning, engineering, fisheries, and environmental science. She understands the challenges communities face in planning for a future that is different than the past and works with them to center their needs and priorities while advancing resilience to a changing climate. In the process, Jamie helps identify funding mechanisms and governance structures that can help improve overall community resilience.
Prior to joining HDR, Jamie served multiple roles as a consultant for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) first communication contract, where she worked nationwide helping communities build resilience and adapt to climate change using flood risk reduction as a conversation starter. She previously created course curriculum and taught government agencies how to plan for and incorporate sea level rise and coastal hazards into their planning mechanisms while working at the University of Washington.
Her project experience includes sea level rise, climate change adaptation, floodplain management, facilitation, and technical assistance with federal funding. All projects involve close coordination and engagement with residents, businesses, elected officials, and other key stakeholders.

Adam Keen

Biography
Dr. Adam Keen serves as our coastal practice leader for the U.S. West Coast. He is an expert in coastal modeling and recently completed his Ph.D. at the University of Southern California within the Department of Civil Engineering.
In addition to his technical support on projects throughout the world, he also coordinates the coastal practice activities along the entire North American West Coast from Alaska to Southern California and Hawaii. He has extensive domestic and global experience having worked on coastal zone projects in Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Europe and Australia.
He is passionate about delivering team-based, client-focused solutions that work with nature to resolve conflicts within the dynamic coastal zone.
