Biography
Brooke Akins joined Cintra, a subsidiary of Ferrovial, in August 2022 as Global Director of Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance. In this role, she is responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and reporting Cintra’s ESG strategy to its stakeholders. Building upon Ferrovial’s well-established sustainability strategy, she aligns Cintra’s efforts to optimize results across both firms. Before joining Cintra, Mrs. Akins served as the Director of Investor Relations and ESG for Virtus Real Estate Capital, a private equity real estate investment firm. While at Virtus, she supported it’s fundraising and investor servicing efforts and led its ESG strategy.

Mrs. Akins holds a B.A. in sociology from the University of Illinois Chicago and an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. She has a Level I certification in SASB’s Fundamentals of Sustainable Accounting and is working on her Level II.
