Biography
Della is a project manager and registered geologist with over 17 years of experience managing and performing a wide variety of projects and contracts in the Pacific Northwest.
As a former emergency management coordinator for Columbia County, Della provides a unique technical understanding to her management style. At the onset of the COVID-19 emergency, Della took on the role of recovery coordinator, representing the County in the Regional Disaster Preparedness Organization (RDPO) Regional Recovery group. Led by the RDPO, the group utilized the Regional Recovery Framework (Regional Framework) to establish recovery efforts in individual counties. Della developed the recovery plan for the County by facilitating partnerships with both government and non-government partners, with a focus on whole community inclusion and resilience, economic recovery, health and social services recovery, housing recovery, and infrastructure recovery. At the completion of her employment in November 2020, Della had 57 participating partners across the five RSFs including private citizens, governmental agencies, and private organizations. She identified leads to take on each RSF following her departure, provided a detailed summary of the work effort, and participated in the After-Action Reporting (AAR).
