Biography
Alison Conway is Herbert G. Kayser Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at the City College of New York and the Deputy Director for the Center for Social and Economic Mobility for People and Communities through Transportation (SEMPACT), the USDOT-designated university transportation center (UTC) for the New York/New Jersey/Puerto Rico/US Virgin Islands region. She also serves as the CCNY PI for the Center for Understanding Future Travel Behavior and Demand, a national UTC housed at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Conway conducts research primarily in the areas of urban freight and city logistics, freight data, and multi-modal interactions in the urban environment. She currently serves as Chair of the Transportation Research Board’s (TRB’s) Freight Data Committee and a member of TRB's Urban Freight Committee. She holds PhD and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation) from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor's of Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware.
