The VV Methods safety assurance framework - result structure and status

Presentation Description
The VV Methods project develops an overall safety argumentation architecture and safety assurance framework in line with the relevant standards and further international initiatives in the area of safety assurance. It is the largest German project in this thematic area and it combines methods, tooling, data and scenario driven approaches to define and formalize an overall safetey case.
In this presentation the result structure of VV Methods is given according to the final project event this year. It also shows how alignement with international initiatives and future collaboration is encouraged.
Speaker Biography
Engineer and manager of R&D projects in the area of automated driving, physical and digital infrastructure, connectivity and mobility services. Master thesis (1994) and Ph.D. (1999) at Technical University of Braunschweig, engineer for industrial automation at steel power plants at Salzgitter AG (1999-2002), engineer at German aerospace center (DLR) in Braunschweig in the area of automated driving (2002-2007), 2007-2015 lead of group “Automated Vehicles and Connectivity”, responsibility for technical development of the automated driving vehicles of DLR, project lead for R&D projects in the area of ADS, since 2015 strategic business development manager for institute of transportation systems, DLR, deputy head of department “Automotive”. business development, coordinator and dissemination manager for national and european activities in the field of automated and connected driving as well as intelligent traffic infrastructures. Project lead of the German dissemination project “Transfer Project Exchange (TPX)” as part of the German large scale projects VV Methods, SET Level and further initiatives in the sector of connected and automated driving funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. Since 22021 acting as head of department “Research Strategy” of DLR Institute of Transportation Systems.
