Speaker Biography
Armand Shahbazian is the Electric and Automated Mobility Policy Advisor at the City of Seattle’s Department of Transportation (SDOT). He advises on SDOT’s work in new and emerging mobility including automated transportation and delivery, including managing SDOT’s Autonomous Vehicle Testing Permit program. Armand also coordinates SDOT’s transportation electrification projects including the permitting and site selection for Seattle’s new curbside Level 2 charging in the right-of-way pilot. He is a life-long public servant and Washington resident, having worked in a variety of engineering roles at Seattle City Light and Tacoma Power prior to his current position. Armand holds a Master of Public Administration and a BS in Electrical Engineering, both from Seattle University.
