Speaker Biography
SERA Architects, a multi-disciplinary architecture and urban design firm, is delighted to welcome Senior Urban Designer Lewis Knight to our Oakland office. Knight brings great strategic and design experience with civic projects that positively impact the community, housing, and the environment. Prior to joining SERA, Knight led strategic initiatives at Facebook/Meta, directed the Urban Strategy & Design Practice at Gensler, and worked on Landscape, Planning, and Urban Design projects at AECOM. “We are inspired by Lewis’s commitment to addressing the most pressing needs in California and the intellectual approach that he brings to our Urban Design practice,” said Dave Johnson, Principal and Oakland Office Director at SERA. “Lewis Knight has a deep understanding of how cities work,” said John Rahaim, former Planning Director, City and County of San Francisco. “His breadth of knowledge, range of experience, and deep devotion to successful urban places are huge assets to the Bay Area.”
