Moderator/255-Defining Energy/Emissions Measurement and Testing in the C/AV Era
Date and Time: Tuesday, July 11, 2023: 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Mike Duoba
Research Engineer, Argonne National Laboratory
Presentation Description
Speaker Biography
Mr. Duoba helped found and is now the senior engineer at Argonne National Laboratory's Advanced Mobility Technology Laboratory (AMTL). The AMTL uses novel instrumentation and state-of-the-art dynamometer test equipment to reveal important information on performance, fuel economy, energy consumption, and emissions of emerging automotive technology.
He is also an active member of SAE’s and ISO Standardization Committees. He chaired the task force that developed the standard test procedures for plug-in hybrids and co-chaired the committee that developed revised electric vehicle test procedures. Mike also chaired the committee that established an SAE standards document for testing electrified vehicle power ratings.
He is a fellow of SAE and is active in the SAE technical program (co-chair sessions at SAE WCX) and is an associate editor of the SAE Journal of Alternative Powertrains. He is an adjunct professor teaching advanced powertrains at IIT in Chicago.
Mike Duoba received a BS from IIT and a MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
