Speaker Biography
Jerry He is Executive Director at CARTS (Corporation for Automated Road Transportation Safety), an independent nonprofit think tank and research organization dedicated to connecting communities in need with mobility innovations. At CARTS, Jerry leads its interdisciplinary team to research, initiate, scale, and advise community-centered deployment of transformative technologies to advance safe, equitable, affordable, sustainable, and high-quality mobility for all.
Jerry combines his expertise in computer science & urban design (B.A. NYU) + architecture (M.Arch. Princeton) through his leadership in autonomous vehicles, EV charging infrastructure, urban design, and community engagement initiatives – most notably as the project lead in Trenton MOVES, the first city-wide, on-demand, autonomous vehicle-based urban transit system in America. He was the primary author of NJDOT’s Statewide Electrification and Charging Infrastructure Roadmap, contributing to New Jersey’s leadership position in clean and sustainable transportation.
Jerry and Trenton MOVES are recognized by the Intelligent Transportation Society of New Jersey as “Outstanding Young Professional” and “Outstanding Project”. He co-organizes the annual Princeton SmartDrivingCars Summit.
