Speaker Biography
Mr. Zumpf has served as the Software Development Lead and Trihydro Project Manager for the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) Connected Vehicle Pilot Program since 2015. WYDOT was one of three CV pilot sites selected to develop CV technology in the United States. The Trihydro team was selected as the technical and software development lead for the WYDOT CVP project. Mr. Zumpf was responsible for designing the system that integrated with the USDOT Situation Data Warehouse to house and distribute CV messages through third parties to rural areas of Wyoming for the CV Pilot. In 2019 Mr. Zumpf was responsible for taking on and standing up the Situation Data Exchange (SDX) that is the predecessor to the Data Warehouse.
Mr. Zumpf is responsible for oversight and direction for the SDX as well as currently serving as the project manager for several other data exchange platforms including the the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Event Streaming Platform (ESP) publishing UI project. The ODOT Event Streaming Platform will be a central point for data publishers to publish and subscribe to data within the ODOT environment.
