Speaker Biography
Dr. Laura Fraade-Blanar is a senior safety researcher at Waymo. Her work focuses on applying the principles of injury epidemiology to autonomous vehicles, and cross-pollinating innovative transportation technology with traditional public health analysis and communication methods. Previously Dr. Fraade-Blanar held safety research positions at RAND Corporation, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the World Health Organization - Office for the Americas, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. She holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Washington, and a Masters and Bachelors in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
