Presentation Description
The presentation will provide an overview of the State of Play of Research & Innovation projects and demonstrations in Connected, Cooperative Automated Mobility (CCAM) in Europe. The European CCAM Partnership launched in 2021 at the demand of the European Commission is the instrument of the Horizon Europe funding programme to better align R&I efforts in the field of CCAM and has the objective to develop and implement a coherent long-term agenda to coordinate investments in R&I and pre-deployment. The initial Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) has been recently updated, as the Partnership is approaching the second phase of its time plan which will focus on advancing technical maturity of solutions and prepare for the organisation of large scale trials and living labs across Europe. 18 projects resulting from the first Horizon Europe 2021-2022 calls have already started and calls for proposals for 2023 are open. In addition to EU funded projects, a lot of R&I and demonstrations activités are being carried out at Members States and at local or city level. The EU funded FAME project is maintaining an EU-wide Knowledge base of CCAM related activities in Europe and beyond which is meant to support the exchange of knowledge, lessons learned, best practices as part of the coordination activities of the Partnership.
