AVSC will present perspectives direct from our members on how they are using the AVSC best practices within their organizations to focus on safety and ultimately increasing awareness and building public trust of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs).
Speaker Biography
Darcyne Foldenauer is Director of the Automated Vehicle Safety Consortium (AVSC) under SAE-ITC. She joined the company in 2022 as a 35-year manufacturing veteran in the automotive, aerospace, and defense sectors. In her current role she is responsible for oversight and leadership of working groups to develop autonomous vehicle safety best practices, strategic planning through the identification of new product lines and/or services, with an emphasis on new technologies. She also oversees all communication and outreach to members and stakeholders, along with government entities to promote program, department, and related products and services related to safety of autonomous vehicles.
Foldenauer is a member of the American Society of Quality, holds industry-recognized quality certifications, including CQT, CQE and CMQ/OE, and is certified in lean manufacturing from the University of Michigan.
