Bio: Brian H. Zelenko, P.E. is a Vice President with WSP and is a Senior Project Manager in their Geotechnical Engineering and Tunneling group based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Mr. Zelenko has worked on a number of major projects during his career, including the Washington Metro Leak Mitigation Tunnel Grouting and DC Water Clean Rivers Programs in Washington, DC, the MTA Red Line Light Rail Transit project in Baltimore, MD, the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Improvement Project (I-95/I-495) in MD and VA, and the Central Artery (I-93)/Third Harbor (I-90) Tunnel in Boston, MA. He has managed an on-call contract for FHWA’s Geotechnical Team for the past five years. Mr. Zelenko is a Past President of the ASCE National Capital Section (2001-2002) and he served as Chairman of the TRB Tunnels and Underground Structures Committee (2008-2014). He received his BS in Civil Engineering from Tufts University in 1984 and MS in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) from the University of California at Berkeley in 1985. Prior to joining WSP in 2009, Mr. Zelenko spent 13 years with Haley & Aldrich and 10 years with URS in Boston and Washington, DC.
