Bio: Benjamin Rasmussen is a community planner with expertise in alternative transportation planning and evaluation, regional and long-range transportation planning, and resiliency planning. In addition to managing the Volpe portfolios for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the White River National Forest, and the National Park Service Midwest Region, Ben leads and coordinates the work of Volpe’s public lands team. Before joining Volpe, Ben worked as a senior program officer for an international environmental non-profit organization and as a transportation planner for a metropolitan planning organization. He is the Research Sub-Committee Chair of TRB's Transportation Needs in Parks and Public Lands Committee and vice chair of TRB's Special Task Force on Climate Change and Energy.
