Speaker Biography
David Lucas is the Traffic Technology Branch Manager at the Maricopa County Department of Transportation in Arizona and has over 25 years of experience in the ITS field. He previously worked as a Research Engineer at both the University of Arizona and Arizona State University and as the ITS Network Engineer at the City of Tempe. In his current role, he oversees the testing, development, and deployment of new and emerging technologies within the areas of Connected Work Zones, Connected and Automated Vehicles, Data Systems, Advanced Analytics and Network and Communications Technologies. David is a member of various industry and professional councils and committees, currently serves as the President of the ITE Mountain District and is a Past President of ITS Arizona.
