Speaker Biography
Darcyne Foldenauer is Director of the Automated Vehicle Safety Consortium (AVSC) under SAE-ITC. She joined the company in 2022 as a 35-year manufacturing veteran in the automotive, aerospace, and defense sectors. In her current role she is responsible for oversight and leadership of working groups to develop autonomous vehicle safety best practices, strategic planning through the identification of new product lines and/or services, with an emphasis on new technologies. She also oversees all communication and outreach to members and stakeholders, along with government entities to promote program, department, and related products and services related to safety of autonomous vehicles.
Prior to SAE-ITC, Foldenauer held roles as Director of Quality & Business Systems and Director of Program Management at Dakkota Integrated Systems. In the Quality role she was responsible for overseeing all facets of quality for the organization, including strategy, business systems development and improvement, advanced and new model launch quality, current production quality, customer satisfaction, all customer required certifications, and supplier quality management. She also led the organization in management and review of performance metrics. Prior to the role in Quality, she held the title of Director of Program Management where she oversaw strategy, standardization, and enhanced financial accountability, ensuring a positive customer experience and helping to improve profitability.
