Speaker Biography
Tony Henderson is a Transportation Engineer in the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s Transit Engineering Group where he oversees the Transit Operations, Planning and Safety Support team. Prior to joining SFMTA, Tony began his career at W-Trans and earned his degree in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
Tony is a Registered Professional Engineer in the branches of Civil and Traffic by the State of California and holds Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification. Additionally, Tony has earned Public Transportation Safety Certification Training Program (PTSCTP) and Transit Safety and Security Program (TSSP) certification from the US Department of Transportation.
In 2023, Tony was selected as one of Mass Transit Magazine’s 40 Under 40.
