Speaker Biography
Melissa Wade is the Head of the Federal Government Affairs and Policy Engineering at Aurora, the company delivering the benefits of self-driving technology safely, quickly, and broadly. Before moving to Pittsburgh and joining Aurora in 2019, Melissa served as Chief Counsel for the Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce leading the unanimous consideration of the SELF DRIVE Act as well as oversight of the Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Product Safety Commission, and NHTSA. Melissa began her career in Washington, D.C. at the National Retail Federation working on technology policy. Melissa is an alum of the Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University and the University of Miami.
