This presentation summarizes approaches to using Federal formula funds to help fund TSM&O activities at the state level. It gives examples of projects funded by Federal formula funding in Georgia and offers experience on how to accomplish this, as gained by Georgia DOT.
Speaker Biography
John Hibbard is the Operations Division Director for Georgia DOT. His responsibilities include the oversight and direction of the State Maintenance Office, the State Utilities Office, the Office of Traffic Operations, and the Office of Transportation Data.
John’s 35-year career includes stops at several engineering consultancies as well as Cobb County (GA) DOT. John’s a graduate of Georgia Tech, with degrees in Civil Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer. He’s involved with the increasingly automated world of transportation and is, per his wife, fascinated with all things technology. Much to her chagrin.
