Presentation Description
Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has been developing the CVSA Enhanced Inspection Program since 2018 in response to the need for a solution to ensure automated driving system (ADS) vehicles are compliant with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR). The CVSA Enhanced CMV Inspection Standard (for motor carrier operations) was introduced at the symposium in 2023. The presentation will discuss the continued development of the program with the wireless transfer of the data message set and the envisioned functionality of associated databases. The presentation will conclude with a review of other ADS related activities and discussions taking place within the program development.
