The poster describes the brief introduction of Mobility Innovation Alliance Japan and their organizing international workshops called "Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2024".
Mobility Innovation Alliance Japan takes over academic collaboration activities of the Cross-Ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) – Automated Driving for Universal Services.
The association engages in the following activities related to mobility innovation; making proposals for policy measures, fostering researchers working on mobility issues, promoting cross-sectional research activities for new mobility, and promoting collaboration with overseas research institutes and projects.
Mobility Innovation Alliance Japan also takes over the legacy of the 9-year ”SIP-adus Workshop”, Mobility Innovation Week Japan expands the theme to “mobility innovation” bringing together experts from around the world since 2023.
Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2024 will be held in Nagoya Metropolitan Area from November 11 to 14, organized by Mobility Innovation Alliance Japan in cooperation with ITS Japan and Nagoya University.
Speaker Biography
Manabu Umeda is a project researcher at Mobility Innovation Collaborative Research Organization, the University of Tokyo (UTmobI). He is also appointed as a Collaborative research coordinator in Mobility Innovation Alliance Japan since Jan. 2024.
He joined the University of Tokyo in November 2019. He was appointed as a Collaborative research coordinator in SIP-adus steering committee from Jan. 2020 to March 2023. He started his professional career as an automotive safety engineer in Nissan Motor Corporation in 1999, and worked for Nissan Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd. in 2006-2009.
