Speaker Biography
Alan Ohnsman is a Forbes senior editor and award-winning journalist who covers cleantech and advanced transportation. He joined Forbes in 2016 and works in Los Angeles. He tracks developments for electric and autonomous vehicles, battery and hydrogen technology, and high-speed rail projects, and co-authors the Current Climate newsletter. He’s also written about Tesla since 2006 when he was with Bloomberg News. Between journalism jobs, he’s worked in equity research departments for Lehman Brothers and Salomon Brothers in Tokyo and was chief communications officer for TrueCar, an online auto retail service. He has a graduate degree in journalism from Columbia University and a B.A. in English and Humanities from Ohio Wesleyan University.
