Biography
Dr. Dina Passman completed her doctorate at the University of the District of Columbia’s College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability, and Environmental Sciences in 2024. Her work focuses on the relationship between gender and caregiving in urban environments and has recently been published in Sustainability and Frontiers in Sustainable Cities. As a result of her long career as a public health professional, Dr. Passman brings unique perspectives and a holistic systems approach to exploring urban problems. She aims to positively impact urban transportation in Washington, DC, through her research and role as a member of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) Riders Advisory Council. Dr. Passman is a longtime DC resident living with her husband and their twins. She spends her free time attending youth soccer matches and making clothes using sustainable supplies and techniques.
