Biography
Dr. Mona Asudegi is the lead for the policy and strategy analysis team at the FHWA’s office of transportation policy studies. She leads a research program covering a broad range of topics on analysis of policy impacts, transportation future options, emerging trends, transportation cost and revenue options, and other advanced policy-related topics. Her objective is to support informed and data-driven decision makings to cost-effectively and safely address mobility needs for all users and communities. Mona is currently the chair of FHWA task order on understanding equity impact of federal formula funds. Prior to FHWA, she was the technical lead for R&D transportation system projects at ARPA-e of Department of Energy. Mona has a Ph.D. in Operations Research and Master’s in Transportation Engineering, both from University of Maryland, College Park, and a Bachler’s in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
