Pearl Liu serves as a Transportation Analyst at Cambridge Systematics, and she currently works on various transportation projects, including freight planning, resiliency projects, and long range planning projects. She provides data analysis, strategic insights, and project management support. Before Cambridge Systematics, she was doing her master degree at UCLA in Urban and Regional Planning and at the same time worked for LA Department of Transportation and SFMTA. Her research area and work focused on safety, ranging from perceptions of safety for users to vision zero safety strategies. The capstone project that was done by her and her research partner on Rethinking Transit Safety: Understanding and Addressing Gender-Based Harassment and Enhancing Safety on San Francisco's Muni System was awarded for the Transportation Equity & Justice Capstone Prize at UCLA.
