Speaker Biography
Dr. Natalie Villwock-Witte, PE is an Associate Research Professor/Research Engineer for the Western Transportation Institute (WTI) at Montana State University (MSU) in Bozeman, Montana. At WTI, Natalie performs research to address the needs of federal lands managers, the Federal Highway Administration, and state and local departments of transportation in the research areas of workforce development, safety, bicycle & pedestrian travel, public transportation, and travel behavior. Natalie has also taken the opportunity to inspire the next generation while teaching about all fields of engineering, transportation engineering, and developing a study abroad course in the area of bicycle and pedestrian travel, as an instructor at the Central New Mexico Community College, University of New Mexico, and Montana State University, respectively. Natalie earned her Doctorate and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, and her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Natalie is currently serving in her second term as Chair of Transportation Research Board's AEP20, Committee on the Transportation Needs of National Parks and Public Lands.
