Speaker Biography
Dr. Susan Pike is a research faculty at the UC Davis Institute of Transportation Studies and Director of the UC Davis Transit Research Center. Her research covers travel behavior and sustainable transportation with an increasing focus on the use of and planning for public transportation. Dr. Pike studies the interplay between environmental policy and individual decisions. Her projects include the decision-making processes that lead to partnerships between transit agencies and ridehailing companies and the implementation and use of microtransit services. Recent work has also covered the transition to open-loop payments in public transit and the impacts of this transition on un and underbanked passengers.
