Speaker Biography
Manish Shirgaokar is an Associate professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Colorado Denver. He focuses on technology, travel behavior, and social equity as they relate to people, places, and mobility. He has published on marginalized sub-groups (women, older adults, immigrants, low-income households) in the US, Canada, and India. He teaches seminar and lab-based courses in transportation planning/policy, research methods, data analytics, and geographic information systems, and is a co-director of the Human-Centered Transportation Program at the University of Colorado Denver.
