Speaker Biography
Dr. Mansha Swami is a Transportation Engineering Consultant, Researcher and Academician and is currently working as a Research Engineer at the National Transportation Center (NTC) in Morgan State University (MSU) at Baltimore, (Maryland, USA). She is also Director of Programs and Director of Communications for Baltimore Chapter of YPT (Young Professionals in Transportation). She is working with MDOT on several research Projects and is actively involved with various TRB committees. She was also a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Texas at Arlington, (UTA) in Arlington, (Texas, USA). She has a background in civil engineering and pursued her PhD. in Transportation Planning & Engineering with expertise in Transit Planning, Travel Behavior, Urban Multimodal Transport Planning, active mobility, road safety and connected Autonomous Vehicles. She has been an advisor to various government, semi-government and private organizations in transportation planning, urban multimodal transport, traffic, road safety and highway sector in India. She is also advisor to several Indian organizations for their marketing, strategic growth and business development needs. She also works actively for several women empowerment groups and non-profits in India and USA.
