Presentation Description
Bernadette Dupont is a Civil Engineer and serves as a Transportation Specialist at the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). She joined the Office of Human Environment’s Livability Team in 2022 and works on a range of Active Transportation, Health, Equity, and Research initiatives. Bernadette joined the FHWA Kentucky Division Office in 2001, where she served as the Research Coordinator, Senior Planner, Freight Specialist, and Air Quality Specialist. Prior to that Bernadette served as a Research Engineer for the Kentucky Transportation Center at the University of Kentucky. Bernadette holds an MSCE, BSCE, BA in Telecommunications, and an Environmental Systems Certificate from the University of Kentucky.

Lori Porreca is Planner and Sociologist and is an International Program Manager with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in the Office of International Programs. She manages bilateral relationships and represents the agency on several World Road Association committees including the Promotion of Gender Inclusion and Diversity Team. Prior to this, she served as the Community Planner for the FHWA Idaho Division Office for 10 years and oversaw planning, freight, bicycle and pedestrian, community development, research and other programs. She has 20 years of experience in Planning and transportation. She holds a PhD in Sociology, a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning and a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Philosophy and is a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners.
