Speaker Biography
Mr. Wood is an Associate Research Engineer within the System Reliability Division of the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). He is a nationally-recognized researcher and project manager focused on the intersection of transportation policy, planning, and operations. Specifically, Mr. Wood led research that investigated how emerging technologies influenced the transportation system, the effective implementation of road and parking pricing systems, design and behavioral factors for managed lanes (e.g., carpool and express toll lanes), and the rollout of connected vehicle applications for commercial fleet vehicles. He authored over 65 journal reports, conference papers, and project reports during his time as a researcher. Mr. Wood is also currently the Research Coordinator for the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Managed Lanes Committee.
