Speaker Biography
Mark Bandy is a senior transportation consultant and project manager who specializes in traffic planning, management, and operations in urban environments and around major events. He is currently leading Kimley-Horn’s transportation planning support for Seattle’s FIFA World Cup 2026 local organizing committee. His past project work includes providing strategic leadership on major projects for Seattle DOT, Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), Washington State Ferries, and Sound Transit, working with clients and stakeholders to improve safety, connectivity, and multimodal transportation systems. He previously served as the Seattle DOT’s Transportation Operations Division Director and as Washington State DOT’s Urban Corridors Traffic Engineer, supporting the planning and implementation of numerous managed lanes applications from arterial transit lanes to freeway express toll lanes.
