Speaker Biography
Skye Guo is an ITS Specialist at the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), bringing seven years of research experience in connected infrastructure, collaborating with IOOs and OEMs to benchmark safety and operational benefits. At DDOT, she manages the Traffic Monitoring Program and the Advanced Transportation Management Systems. Her responsibilities are from sensor data analyses to contract and program management, while providing direct assistance to the CIO. Skye is The Eastern Transportation Coalition (TETC) TSMO liaison for DDOT, and the member of the ASSHTO CTSO Next Generation. Skye is a member of the TRB Freeway Operations Committee and Highway Automation Committee. She has been recognized with several national awards, including the 2022 ITE Young Leaders to Follow and the 2021 TRB Best Young Professional Paper. Skye holds an MS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a BS in Mathematics from the University at Buffalo.
