Speaker Biography
Originally from the Greater Toronto Area, Caroline holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biology and Mathematics from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and a Master of Data Science from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia. During her undergraduate and graduate degrees, she worked on projects remotely tracking wildlife populations across the eastern United States, creating databases, dashboards, and web apps for analysis of photos and audio recordings. Caroline now works at TransLink in Vancouver, applying her data science expertise in analyzing household travel behaviour and traffic flows in the Metro Vancouver region. Her interests include transportation data, ecological impacts in transportation, and equity in transportation.

Speaker Biography
Bo Wen received his Bachelor and Master of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto. He is currently a Senior Modeler at TransLink, the statutory authority responsible for the regional transportation planning of Metro Vancouver, Canada. He works with the Modeling Forecasting team at TransLink to develop and maintain Metro Vancouver region’s transportation model. His expertise is in the analysis of household travel survey data, travel demand modeling, and geospatial visualization of travel models. As a member of the AI and Advanced Committee (AED50) and a member of the Travel Modeling Committee (AEP50) at TRB, he is interested in exploring ways to use artificial intelligence and cloud computing to advance the state of practice in transportation modeling.
