Lead Presenter Biography
Lee is a Principal Engineer with over 32 years of transportation engineering and planning experience. Much of Lee's professional focus is on conducting research and providing guidance on intersection planning and design, with particular focuses on roundabouts and on accessibility for people with vision disabilities. He served as initial Principal Investigator and a key author for NCHRP Research Report 1043, Guide for Roundabouts. He previously served as either principal investigator or a key author for the first two national roundabout guides. He has also provided leadership for identifying engineering solutions to accessibility challenges at intersections for people who are blind or have low vision, resulting in several TRB publications (NCHRP Reports 674 and 834, Crossing Solutions for Roundabouts and Channelized Turn Lanes for People with Vision Disabilities; TCRP Report 268, Tactile Wayfinding in Transportation Settings for People with Vision Disabilities). Lee is a licensed Professional Engineer in sixteen US states.
