Bio: My name is Samira Ahangari and I am a native of Tehran, Iran. I obtained my undergraduate degree and master degree in Business Management at a top university in Iran. I am currently a Transportation Ph.D. student at Morgan State University and I work as a research assistant and teaching assistant with Dr. Chavis and Dr. Jeihani since fall 2016. After completing my Ph.D. degree, I plan to further my career in the transportation area by doing more research in my research interest that is behavioral analysis and public transportation. I believe my research interest and my endeavor with the help of my advisors and professors at Morgan State University will help prepare me for my interest role as a teacher in transportation.
I maintain membership in the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and the Committee of the Transportation Research Board. I regularly attend and presents at the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting. Additionally, workshops and conferences include the 2018 ITE Annual Meeting and AIMSUN training workshop.
