Abstract:

Washington College GIS Program (WCGIS) provides Maryland Highway Safety Office GIS support for the state of Maryland the past eight years. This presentation will share year-round efforts that are being made by undergraduate students and GIS professionals to improve driver behaviors on Maryland roadways by analyzing crashes, citations, & traffic datasets to deliver static and digital map products to the Four E’s of Traffic Safety: Enforcement, Engineering, Education, & Emergency Medical Services.
