Equity Implications of Changes in Travel Behavior Due to COVID-19: Results from a National Survey Across Two Years
Abstract
The presentation describes results from a national survey about changes in travel behavior during the COVID pandemic. The data has been collected from more than 3,000 persons at each of 10 points in time from May 2020 to March 2022. Changes in behavior around mode use (including use of new modes), teleworking, use of remote services as a substitute for travel are analyzed to identify differences in effects related to income, race and ethnicity, urban versus rural location, and regions of the country.
