Session Description
The panel will be examining the ruling of the Supreme Court, which held that the Muscogee (Creek) Reservation in Oklahoma was never disestablished by the U.S. Congress. As a result, over one-third of the State of Oklahoma may be classified as “Indian Country.” The panel will examine the impact of the McGirt ruling on transportation in Oklahoma and other States. This session will update the session that was presented at the TRB 100th Annual Meeting.
